- The garden and trails are available to enjoy free of charge during regular business hours.
- Nature trails are primitive and boggy in areas.
- Bikes are not permitted on the woodland trails. A bike rack is available at the Belmont-Ferry Farm Trail terminus.
- The grounds are perfect for walking your pets, but please keep them leashed at all times. Pets (except service dogs) are not allowed in any building. Be courteous of others and pick up after your pet and do not leave pets unattended.
- Our site is a smoke-free zone.
- Food and drink are not permitted in the house or studio. There are picnic tables between the barn and visitor center for guests to use.
- Strollers are not allowed in the House and can be parked outside or on a nearby porch. In the galleries, they are allowed in the upper level.
- Weapons are prohibited on UMW/GMHS property.
- Large bags and backpacks should remain in cars as we do not have locker facilities.
