SCOPE OF COLLECTIONS
Gari Melchers Home and Studio possesses 1,677 paintings and drawings by Gari Melchers and an additional 414 works by other artists. Some 3,000 items of furniture, decorative objects and books constitute the personal furnishings of Gari Melchers’ home. Melchers’ paintings are in museum collections worldwide.

Of Gari Melchers Home and Studio’s research collection amounting to nearly 7,000 items, the following are included: the personal papers of Gari and Corinne Melchers, related exhibitions catalogs, photography, art supplies and tools, Alexander family personal papers, and the historical papers of the Lawton/Mackall family.
