Ramp Access
Transport chairs available to borrow are located in the Visitor Center, Studio, and Pavilion. Folding chair/walking sticks are available for guest use in the House and Studio. A ramp with handrails is available at the house to access the first floor.
Wheelchair-accessible restrooms, each situated next to a water fountain or cooler and equipped with diaper-changing tables, are located in the Visitor Center and Pavilion.
Hearing
A personal amplifier is available to borrow for use on tours, programs, or Pavilion events.
Vision
For visitors with low or no vision, high-description guided tours of the house and galleries are available with advance notice. We can supplement these tours with our touch collection. Braille documents for the Studio introduction and the article ‘Who was Gari Melchers?” are available at the Front Desk.
Service Animals
The museum welcomes certified service animals on leashes.
Nature Trails
The trails are primitive and boggy in areas. Please plan accordingly.
