We invite you to attend this free, public symposium that explores the ecological, historical, and cultural significance of the Rappahannock River Fall Line, by examining its role in shaping both the region’s natural environment and human history.

Panel Discussion
Moderated by Brent Hunsinger, Friends of the Rappahannock Advocacy and Coastal Programs Director, our speakers will address the challenges and opportunities facing the Fall Line and the Rappahannock River.
Event Details
- The event is free of charge; however, reservations are required (please see below).
- An optional guided hike to the Fall Line will follow the symposium, weather permitting.
- Free shuttle service for UMW students. Trolley departs from Bell Tower at 12:45pm. First return trolley will return at 3:40pm; second and last trolley will leave at 4:10pm. Please reserve your spot on the shuttle by emailing Education Manager Michelle Crow-Dolby at mdolby@umw.edu.
