
We are glad you have chosen Belmont as your photography site. In order to maintain the integrity of the grounds and gardens, we require all photographers to follow our guidelines. Compliance with these guidelines will enable all visitors to enjoy the beauty of our site.

Photographers planning to photograph on the grounds for professional use are required to make an appointment with the special events coordinator at least one week in advance of the proposed session. Photographers must check in at the Belmont Visitor Center before beginning their session. Photographers who do not make an appointment or check in upon arrival will be dined access to the property.
Photography sessions much be held during business hours and are subject to being monitored by a staff member. A $25 fee will be charged for photography sessions. Photographers wishing to use the facilities after hours may arrange to do so for a $50 fee. This fee must be paid in advance in the Visitor Center. The use of the facilities without permission or after hours will incur an additional fee.
Professional photography can only be conducted in designated areas. No photography or videotaping is allowed inside the house or studio. Photographers and their subjects are restricted to stairways, lawn and walkways. Standing or walking through flower beds and shrubbery is not permitted. Climbing, sitting, or standing on walls and fences is prohibited. The museum assumes no liability associated with any photography session of any kind.
During photography sessions, photographers may not move benches, flower pots, or any other lawn ornaments. Private props may be used with prior permission. Leashed pets will be allowed access with prior approval.
Brides and other wedding party members should arrive no earlier than one hour before the ceremony for photography sessions. Post ceremony photography should last no longer than 30 minutes after the event. Photographers should be aware of these restrictions and plan accordingly.
